Overview
FoodFresh is committed to protecting your privacy and giving you control over your personal data. This guide explains how to delete your data from our systems.
Important Note:
Data deletion requests are processed in accordance with applicable privacy laws, including GDPR and CCPA. The process typically takes up to 30 days to complete.
Deletion Methods
In-App Deletion
- Open the FoodFresh app
- Go to Settings
- Select "Privacy & Data"
- Choose "Delete My Data"
- Follow the confirmation steps
Email Request
Send a deletion request to:
privacy@foodfreshco.com
Include your account email and "Data Deletion Request" in the subject line.
Scope of Deletion
When you request data deletion, we will remove:
- Personal profile information
- Food and meal logging history
- Health and fitness data
- Usage analytics and preferences
- Communications history
- Connected device data
Exceptions:
- Data required for legal compliance
- Aggregated analytics that cannot identify you
- Information needed for fraud prevention
Deletion Process
Request Submission
Submit your deletion request through the app or via email.
Verification
We'll verify your identity to ensure the security of your data.
Processing
Your request will be processed within 30 days.
Confirmation
You'll receive confirmation once deletion is complete.
Data Retention
After deletion, some information may be retained in our backup systems for up to 90 days. This is necessary for system integrity and disaster recovery.
Certain data may be retained longer if required by law, for fraud prevention, or to resolve disputes.
Identity Verification
To protect your privacy and security, we require verification of your identity before processing deletion requests.
We may ask for:
- Account email verification
- Government-issued ID
- Proof of account ownership
